We were investors in Zambia and, after hearing the then Minister of Immigration and the District Administrator of Livingstone say (on separate occasions) in public meetings that they could "kick out investors any time", we decided to cut our ties and leave the country. There were other reasons too e.g. the incessant changing of Government rules and fees and the incompetent, and often discrimatory, implementation of them. In a nutshell, investing in Zambia just wasn't worth it.
